Bristol is a city that I just can't help falling in love with on repeat. While I love to travel when I can there is something satisfying about being in the city that I love and get to call home. I mean it was voted Best Place in Britain to Live by the Sunday Times too in 2017. It's still awesome too. So here's my little guide of some of the most beautiful and square-worthy places in the city.
You might have noticed recently that I've taken a few short breaks from social media, mainly instagram, and the blog. You might not have. But I took the breaks because I was suffering from Social Media (mainly Instagram) Fatigue.
Recently on my instastories I've been starting discussions about a few topic's I'd encountered recently or my bug bears. One of these topics was raised at Bristol Fashion Week in relation to Body Positivity. While the catwalk had models of a variety of sizes, ethnicity and disability there was discussion over how as great as it was, it could have gone further.
Daylight Savings to me means the start of Spring Summer. I know meteorological spring started on the 1st March and the Spring Equinox was Wednesday 20th March but for me that extra hour of daylight we got yesterday changes everything. I find i'm more motivated in the evenings after work to do things round the house, go to the gym or run errands and I'm generally more upbeat.
Christmas and New Year are always filled with festivities and sparkle that honestly, I never ever want it to end. But if it didn't end I think we'd all get a little bit fed up of all the glitter in our eyes. I'm lucky enough to get time off work over the festive period as work shuts down and I always find it tough going back to normal life after. This year has been no exception as I've gone back to work, into exam season and I have a stinking cold.
Morning Everyone,
I hope you had an amazing Christmas, I know I certainly did and I'm 100% about 5kg heavier too from all the cheese, chocolate and wine. I thought I'd do a little post from 2018 looking back on some of the out-takes from the shoots I've done which may or may not have made it to the gram or blog.
Life is a bit of a strange one. One area of your life can be going well while another area gets hit with a wrecking ball.
This is what has happened to me recently with some bad news. As a result my mood seems to be suffering with whiplash. One minute I feel like I'm on top of the world and the next my mood swings and I'm floating around rock bottom.
To combat these giant swings, I've learnt of 7 ways that I can instantly improve my mood for my own sanity and that of the people around me.
As a teenager I truly believed that by the time I was 25 I would have my shit together and be a fully fledged adult conquering the world. I'd have my dream job even though I didn't know what that was at the time. I'd probably have been on the way to getting married, aka engaged. I'd have a house decorated exactly how I wanted with a dog to welcome me home. Spoilers - it isn't all travelling the world, big money jobs and Pinterest-worthy home. I have to say now I've turned 27 that my expectations aren't quite the reality.
