At the moment I find that I'm often rushing from place to place. I'm not sure when my life got so hectic but I find I'm seriously lacking in time to myself or to just sit down and think. With that being said my wardrobe has had to become multi-function with work outfits being able to be quickly styled to go from office appropriate to an evening of cocktails.
At weekends I find I'm running errands in the day and then going straight to dinner/drinks in the evening. Mainly because I live 20-30 minutes from the centre of town and I just can't be bothered to travel twice. I saw this dress from Cari's Closet and thought it was the perfect solution to my dilemma.
Not only is it totally gorgeous but it's incredibly flattering and easy to wear. The sleeves mean it will see you through these changeable spring days where one minute it's like a summers day and then next it's raining with a side of sleet.
Styling by Day
By day this dress looks amazing paired with some bright white trainers and a biker style jacket. I chose my favourite spring piece, my Vero Moda blue suede jacket, which highlighted the gorgeous tones in the dress but if you wanted something a little edgier then a black leather biker would look just as great. Just add a fresh bunch of blooms and you're all styled out.
Styling by Night
By night this dress does all the talking. It's feminine, flirty and sexy all at the same time. I kept my accessories simple with just a plain black Kate Spade cross body bag and my Chanel mule dupes from Primark which Miss Guided have just also launched a dupe pair of. The nude on the mule elongates the legs while the black pointed toe cap ties the outfit together. Just add a nude lip and big smile to finish.
What are your key tips for taking looks from day to night? I still feel that I need to master the work wear to cocktails look.
