Recipe: White Strawberry and Lemon Sangria

Recipe: White Strawberry and Lemon Sangria

I am officially on count down for my holiday to Portugal and I cannot wait to put my out of office on! Roll on Thursday afternoon. Now if you know me, you'll know that I cannot cook, but that baking and drinks are my thing so I thought i'd share a really fruity summer drinks recipe with you.

Some might argue that a true Sangria is red, but with a personal dislike of the red stuff I discovered this recipe for a white strawberry and lemon version a couple of years ago and never looked back. This drink puts me in the mood for summer instantly and it's the perfect accompaniment to get me in the holiday vibe. I would advise to avoid packing while drunk though - I've done this before and it didn't end well on holiday.

Method:

- Add all fruit into a large pitcher
- Pour in the wine and rum
- Cover with cling film and place in the fridge for about 4 hours to allow the fruit to soak up the alcohol
