Bristol Bloggers Meet 1.0

Photo Credit: Chloe from Beauty and the Girl
Just before I went on holiday I had the chance to attend the Bristol Bloggers Meet 1.0 organised by the lovely Chloe from Beauty and the Girl. This was my first ever bloggers meet or event and I was so nervous about attending but I really didn't need to be as everyone I managed to speak to was lovely.
The event was hosted at Cosy Club on Corn Street in Bristol and I can't believe that I had never been in there before as it was gorgeous and right in my home town. I was one of the final bloggers to arrive and after grabbing myself a glass of prosecco at the bar I headed over to our blogger area.

The event kicked off with a talk from Liam who works with Off The Record a Bristol and South Gloucestershire based Mental Health charity who focus on helping young people in the area deal with anxiety, depression and many more important mental health issues. It was so great to know that the event was supporting such a great local charity to help them continue the work they have been doing for 50 years.

After our talk from Liam we then headed over to the lovely ladies from Weleda who demonstrated to us a facial and let us sample some of their products such as their 'skin food' which is celebrating it's 90th birthday this year just like the Queen. The ladies called skin food their desert island beauty product as it helps with dry and rough skin using ingredients such as Rosemary, Beeswax and Chamomile. At the end of the demonstration we were handed Weleda goody bags containing a tube of skin food and some gorgeous dainty floral stationary. As soon as I got it home my mum picked up the skin food tube and ran away and it has since been completely used - hence why it's not in my snap. I wasn't quick enough with that one, it's obviously really good.

Bristol Bloggers Meet 1.0 Chelsea Candle

Chelsea Candle then spoke to us about their hand poured soy candles and diffusers and I was in candle heaven. The aroma's floating round our little bloggers area in Cosy Club were insanely beautiful and I was ready to whip out my credit card for every single one. The company are based in Kent and produce the candles in small batches. Chelsey the founder of the brand was so passionate and knowledgable about the products and gave me so much information on candle care and the products that I didn't know before, including about wax pools and wick cutting which is available on their website. My favourite scents were the Coconut, which was the first scent for the brand, Ginger & Lime and Gooseberry & Elderflower. The mini candles are priced at just £5 and I would highly recommend checking them out if you love a good candle. They even custom label candles in batches which would make great little wedding favours.

We then all gathered around to see who would be lucky in the raffle to support Off The Record. Loads of brands and companies donated to the raffle and there were more than enough prizes to go around. I was over the moon that my luck came in and I managed to scoop a set of two mini candles from Chelsea Candle and a diffuser and a bottle of white wine. If we hadn't already been spoiled rotten we also got handed some packed goody bags featuring products from DermaV10, VitaCoco and No7 to name a few.
Please note: Coconut & Lime Body Butter, Rescue Oil and Radiance Cream also stolen by my mother but she gives rave reviews for all of them.

The raffle brought our time to an end at Cosy Club and we ventured across to Cabot Circus and the Chanii B Shoes pop up shop. Chantal the owner, designer and founder of Channi B hosted a fabulous blogger party for us in her shop and spoke to us about her designs and the brand. It was so amazing to hear Chantal speak about the materials she choses, designs and the brand with so much passion and dedication. The care and love which goes into each shoe design and the exquisite leathers that are chosen really show in the shoes themselves.

The foil leather and laser cut designs are stunning and the shoes are unique to whats offered on the high street. Chantal ensures that the shoes are designed to be comfortable, fashionable and that they are most importantly breathable, which is a benefit of using quality leathers that is often overlooked by the high street. In store myself I managed to bag a pair of rose gold leather sliders with a wooden sole which are dreamy to walk in. Chantal also gifted us bloggers a hide phone sleeve and I am so in love with mine it makes me daydream of safari's and african heat.

Overall I had a lovely day at the Bristol Bloggers Meet 1.0 and I am already excited for a 2.0. They day was filled with fun, laughter, prosecco, cocktails and some great brands who without the meet I wouldn't have known about.
