Spring Beauty Essentials

Spring Beauty Essentials

Spring has arrived which means soon the sun will be shining (hopefully) and the desire to expose skin will be upon us. Here are a few of my year-round beauty staples with the products that I introduce for spring summer to keep my skin hydrated and glowing.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Rose and Cedrat and Original

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

This is one of my skincare essentials. I use it once everyday along with the muslin cloth and like to mix up the original cleanser; rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus oil with the limited edition versions; currently rose & cedrat.
For anyone who doesn't know Liz Earle is a British beauty brand who use naturally active ingredients to produce great products. Cleanse & Polish is probably their most well known product, is suitable for all skin types and the internet is drowning in five star reviews.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Toner

This toner is refreshing and contains naturally active ingredients including aloe vera, chamomile and cucumber. Now toner wasn't really something I considered as part of my skincare regime until my mother introduced me to this tonic a couple of months back when we were away together, now there is no turning back. I apply this tonic using a cotton wool pad after every time I cleanse my face with the polish. After application it makes my skin feel slightly tight which is a feeling that I like and my skin feels smooth and looks brighter.

Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist

Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist

This face mist tends to be added to my beauty essentials during spring and summer as a product to carry in my hand bag for if I need a quick skin pick me up. Hot days which get a little muggy, especially in the office, are instantly made more refreshing with a quick spritz of this. It also has a floral rosewater scent which is perfect for the season. I'm including it in my spring essentials as even though it's still a little cold out at the moment, one Easter I underestimated the weather and left my Easter eggs hidden in the boot of my car - it was very embarrassing when then mercury hit 20 degrees and I had to hand over completely melted egg messes to everyone!

VitaCoco 100% Raw Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Organic Coconut Oil

VitaCoco Coconut Oil

I use this for so many things it's unreal. I use it when I get out of the shower to moisturise, I use it as a cuticle oil, a conditioning mask for my hair once a week, I've even used it as a make up remover when I've run out of wipes and you can cook with it! It's such a multi-function product that I now don't think that I could live without it. I am still yet to try it as a teeth whitener or insect repellent! I love the fact that it comes cold pressed and as you proceed to use it your skin warms the oil so you can massage it into the skin/hair. Afterwards my skin is gorgeously smooth and smells delightfully tropical.

Masque Bar Hydro Gel Eye Mask Pads

Masque Bar Hydro Eye Gel Pads

I recently picked these up in boots in a search for something to help with the dark circles under my eyes and after enjoying Masque Bar's Brightening Sheet Mask I thought i'd give them a trial. The pot contains 30 pairs of pads and advises to use one pair everyday however, I use them every other day and I have seen a reduction in the darkness under my eyes. It's still not to the point where I would be happy not to apply concealer to cover it but the dark circles are on their way out.

What are your beauty essentials for spring? Currently I am looking for a new moisturiser as I still haven't found the one for my skin. Any recommendations are welcome - I have combinations skin: 'normal' with an oily t-zone.
